Truffles

The Mornington Toy Library has an annual fundraiser in November, making and selling scrumptious chocolate truffles. This is the main fundraiser for the Toy Library. Learn more here.

Our profits are put into buying new toys and into the running of the library.

We need your help to roll and sell these yummy truffles! Bring along your friends and family to help us reach our goal of rolling 1200 dozen truffles.

"Many hands make light work!"

For the 2017 the truffles weekend will be Friday 10th and Saturday 11th November, held at King’s High School Catering Suite.
Please make a note of these dates in your
 diary.

Order forms and directions of where we make the truffles (King's High School catering suite) have been mailed out.  If you didn't get an order form or directions please email us.

Rosters for shifts are up on Rebekah's desk at the Library; remember we require each member to help out for 2 hours. Once you start rolling, this time goes quickly!

The 2 hour shifts are as follows

Friday 10th 5-7pm, 7-9pm and Saturday 11th 9-11am, 11am-1pm, 1-3pm, 3-5pm

Butter Month

October is “butter month”. We invite members to bring in 500g blocks of Mainland, Anchor or Tararua butter at any toy library session during the month. This helps us bring down the cost of truffles and means more profit for the library.  All members who donate butter will go in to a draw to win a $20 toy concession card.

Please do not bring in other butter brands, or any unsalted butter, as they contain added water which negatively affects the taste and quality of the truffles. As an alternative, donations of $5 or more will also qualify you for entry into the draw to win the $20 concession card. The winner will be announced after the end of the month.
